Meeting Minutes
Present: Daniela Andruszkiewicz, Marisa Ronan, Donna Keaney; School Liaisons Kerry Ni, Sharon Burnett and Brooke Gagnier; School Committee Liaison s Ed Schreier and Liza O’Reilly and Ed Schreier
A 10 -minute social preceded the business portion of the meeting.
The meeting was called to order at 10:20 a.m.
The minutes from April 8th, 2014 were accepted.

10:30 a.m. –0:30 a.m. social – opportunity fodiscuss SEPAC business

General Q&A for items that may not be on the agenda: There was no discussion.
Update from Director of Student Services: There was no discussion
Update from School Committee Liaison: The School Committee is expecting an official resignation from newly elected Selectman Paul Gannon for this School Committee seat. An official announcement will be posted in this week’s Hingham Journal. An interim School Committee member will be appointed by June 2nd to fill in remainder of the term. Interested parties can contact Ray Estes and Dr. Galo’sfi office for information on responsibilities and scope.
The School Committee’s confirmed Hingham’s participation in the South Shore Collaborative. Dr. Galo was reappointed to the SSC Board of Directors.
Based on previous items to be addressed with the Special Education Subcommittee, Liza reported back, that Dr. Galo and staff are unaware of previous transition planning improvement and development efforts as kicked off under Dr. Loud. Dr. Galo will check into the history of this.
Marisa asked if the Special Ed Subcommittee has received an official charge for course of action. Per Liza, tThere is no official charge.
An update on HPS bBudget indicated that two adjustment counselors will be hired as well as possibly two elementary school teachers and OT specialist. Resignations, leave off absence, and reorg at the middle school level allowed freeing up of resources to be used at the elementary level.
Sharing with School PTO Liaisons: No news on from PTOs.
Treasury Report: The SEPAC account balance is $13,650.33. Preliminary numbers indicate $4369.00 in profits from the Fun Run.
